Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed:

Our commitment

Atelier is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Atelier is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We test the storefront against WCAG 2.2 AA on every pull request via automated audits (axe-core under Playwright) on the top customer-facing routes — homepage, product detail, collections, cart, checkout, account, search, and contact — at the iPhone 14 Pro mobile viewport (393×852).

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

  • Latest two stable versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari (desktop + iOS).
  • VoiceOver on iOS and macOS.
  • TalkBack on Android.
  • NVDA and JAWS on Windows.

The site is built mobile-first, with tap targets sized to at least 44×44 CSS pixels, form fields with associated labels, semantic landmarks, focus-visible outlines, and keyboard support throughout the golden paths (browse, add to cart, checkout, account management).

Technical specifications

Accessibility of Atelier relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML5 and ARIA attributes
  • CSS (including reduced-motion preferences)
  • JavaScript (progressive enhancement; core flows degrade gracefully)

Known limitations and exceptions

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, the following content may not be fully accessible:

  • Third-party embeds. Payment-provider modals (Razorpay, Stripe) and embedded video players are governed by their respective vendors’ accessibility implementations.
  • Merchant-provided content. Product descriptions, blog posts, and uploaded images are authored by individual merchants. Image alternative text falls back to the product title where the merchant has not supplied one explicitly.
  • Live-chat widget. Voice-only conversational replies are not yet captioned.

We are tracking remediation of these items in our public roadmap and welcome prioritisation feedback from users of assistive technology.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Atelier. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please contact us at:

  • Email: hello@atelier-us.com
  • Postal: Hatti Platform, Accessibility Team, 1 Storefront Road, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 3 business days and to propose a remediation timeline within 10 business days.

Enforcement (United States)

If you believe you have been denied access to goods or services because of a disability and the issue has not been resolved through the feedback channels above, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section:

Assessment approach

Atelier assessed the accessibility of this site by a combination of:

  • Self-evaluation against WCAG 2.2 AA, with a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) on file.
  • Automated testing on every pull request via axe-core 4.x under Playwright (see e2e/storefront/a11y-full.e2e.ts).
  • Manual testing with VoiceOver and keyboard-only navigation on the golden checkout path.

This statement was created on 2026-05-02 using the W3C Accessibility Statement Generator Tool template, adapted for the United States ADA / Section 508 conformance context.
